Exciting news from Denmark! Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is gearing up to create a massive 300-megawatt (MW) onshore wind farm in Nueva Ecija, with a whopping estimated budget of P30.5 billion.
In a recent submission to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, San Jose Onshore Wind Power Corp., a proud subsidiary of CIP, revealed that this ambitious project will span an impressive 4,617 hectares in the municipalities of Lupao and Carranglan.
“This project, with its potential capacity of 300 MW, will contribute significantly to the Luzon grid by adding clean energy. Plus, it aligns perfectly with the Philippine government’s goals of boosting energy security, diversifying the energy mix, and moving towards a low-carbon economy,” stated the company.
Construction is set to kick off in the second quarter of 2027, with completion anticipated by the second quarter of 2029. Exciting times ahead!
