Intense life-endangering gusts are still anticipated in various regions of Luzon as Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 continues to be raised due to the impacts of Typhoon Fung-Wong, locally termed as Uwan, as per the national meteorological agency.
The regions impacted comprise the western area of Nueva Vizcaya, the western area of Mountain Province, the southern region of Abra, the western territory of Ifugao, Benguet, and the central and southern sectors of Ilocos Sur, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its 8:00 a.m. report.
Signal No. 3, indicating moderate to notable life-threatening winds, is elevated over additional locations, including the western part of Isabela, the southern sector of Apayao, Kalinga, the remainder of Ifugao, the rest of Abra, the rest of Mountain Province, the northwestern area of Quirino, the southern segment of Ilocos Norte, and the remaining parts of Ilocos Sur.
This signal is also applicable to the other parts of Pangasinan, the remainder of Nueva Vizcaya, the northern area of Nueva Ecija, the northern and central sections of Tarlac, and the northern region of Zambales.
Concurrently, minor to moderate life-threatening winds are anticipated in more than a dozen regions as Signal No. 2 is raised, which includes Cagayan (encompassing the Babuyan Islands), the remaining sections of Isabela, the rest of Quirino, the rest of Apayao, the remainder of Ilocos Norte, Aurora, the rest of Nueva Ecija, the rest of Tarlac, and the remaining areas of Zambales.
This wind signal is also in application over Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan, the northern and central districts of Quezon, including the Polillo Islands, Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, the northern area of Marinduque, the northern region of Oriental Mindoro, the northern portion of Occidental Mindoro (including the Lubang Islands), and the western part of Camarines Norte.
Signal No. 1, where slight to minor life-threatening winds are projected, is raised over sections of Luzon, comprising Batanes, the northern region of Palawan including the Calamian and Cuyo Islands, the remaining portions of Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, the western and central areas of Masbate, including Ticao and Burias Islands, Romblon, the rest of Oriental Mindoro, the rest of Occidental Mindoro, the remainder of Quezon, and the remaining parts of Marinduque.
