Arranged by the Taiwan International Trade Administration (TITA) alongside the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the eagerly awaited Taiwan Expo 2025 in the Philippines is set to return from Sept. 17 to 19 at the SMX Convention Center in Manila after a six-year break. On Aug. 13, a dedicated Press Conference was conducted to give the Philippine mainstream media and leaders of industry associations a unique preview of innovative products and integrated solutions that will be highlighted at the Expo, generating buzz prior to the Taiwan Expo.

Woody Wang, deputy executive director of TAITRA, stressed that this year’s Taiwan Expo 2025 in the Philippines signifies a landmark achievement for Taiwan’s post-pandemic reengagement with the Philippine marketplace. In alignment with the Philippine government’s strategies, shifting market requirements, and arising consumer patterns, the exhibition has been carefully curated around five primary themes: Green & Sustainability, Agritech & Aquatech, Health & Wellness, Smart Technologies, and Intelligent Lifestyle. Featuring five themed pavilions and industry sections, the Expo will highlight over 140 top Taiwanese firms, vividly demonstrating Taiwan’s extensive industrial strengths and innovative capabilities.

Dustin Teng-Shi Yang, minister of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO), underlined that Taiwan’s cutting-edge technology and well-established manufacturing prowess perfectly align with the Philippines’ rapidly growing market and youthful demographic dividend, revealing immense possibilities for partnership.

Atty. Evangeline Q. de Leon, corporate secretary of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), indicated that the Taiwan Expo acts as a vital platform for bilateral business interactions and market enlargement by introducing innovative solutions to the Philippine marketplace.

Bryan Ang, vice-president for Trade of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), noted that Taiwan’s esteemed reputation for technological ingenuity and business flexibility will further bolster bilateral industrial competitiveness and nurture enduring collaboration.

The product highlights at the Press Conference encompassed all five main themes. Within Agritech & Aquatech, MIC Meter Industrial Co., Ltd. showcased its Bluetooth Soil Nutrition 9-in-1 Meter and AIoT Pig Counter Board, highlighting real-time monitoring and precision livestock management. Concurrently, JNC Technology Co., Ltd. presented its Multi-channel Gas Detector and Water Sensor, offering effective solutions designed for smart agriculture and aquaculture.

Under Smart Technologies, AIRA Corp. introduced its airaTrack-Intelligent Person Tracking Solution, which integrates seamlessly with existing surveillance systems. Zyxel Networks showcased its cloud technology embedded with advanced cybersecurity features, addressing the Philippines’ urgent needs for secure, non-red supply chain products.

In Health & Wellness, ASUS led with ICT-based smart medical solutions, while V5med, Inc. showcased its AI-supported software, V5med Lung AI, establishing new benchmarks in precision medicine.

Under Green & Sustainability, hiPower Hydrogen Technology Co., Ltd. showcased innovative renewable hydrogen energy solutions, while Super Battery Co., Ltd. highlighted groundbreaking lithium battery applications—both actively responding to the global energy transition.

Within Intelligent Lifestyle, SHAAN HONQ INT’L COSMETICS CORP. launched a high-end hair care line that skillfully merges technology with aesthetics, while Morita Biotech Co., Ltd. emphasized celebrated Taiwanese skincare products, showcasing the strength and allure of Taiwan’s beauty sector.

These innovations not only exemplify technological progress but also cater to the varied needs of the Philippine market, including energy stability, food safety, accessible healthcare, cybersecurity, and lifestyle improvements.

The Press Conference attracted participation from numerous industry associations, major chambers of commerce, and Taiwanese community organizations, demonstrating strong interest and backing from the Taiwan-Philippines business community. Stakeholders from various sectors are keenly looking forward to the Taiwan Expo in the Philippines this September, which is expected to function as a powerful platform for bilateral business interactions, foster greater commercial opportunities, and enhance cooperation in technological innovation, sustainable development, and the health sector—ushering in a new era of Taiwan-Philippines economic collaboration.
