Ultimate and concluding race weekend scheduled at the Clark International Speedway on Aug. 9

The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippine Cup (TGR Philippine Cup), the flagship racing series of Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), is set to return to the Clark International Speedway in Mabalacat, Pampanga on Aug. 9 for its ultimate and concluding race weekend of 2025.

The event is accessible to everyone, and entry is complimentary. It will also be streamed live on the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines Facebook page and YouTube channel starting at 8:30 a.m.

At the forefront of the Super Sporting Class standings is Russel Cabrera of TOYOTA Team Cebu — Standard Insurance, followed closely by Alain Gabriel Alzona of TOYOTA General Santos — Smart Communications Racing, and Michael Bryan Co of R Garage / TOYOTA Dagupan Group.

In the Sporting Class, Jesse Garcia of Obengers Racing — TOYOTA Balintawak leads the charge, with Russel Reyes of TOYOTA Gazoo Racing Philippines and Raymond Cudala of R Racing — MADkart following in pursuit.

Luis Moreno of TOYOTA Gazoo Racing Philippines — Novice Team currently tops the Novice Class standings, with teammates Pablo Salapantan and TMP President Masando Hashimoto occupying the second and third positions, respectively.

    Exciting Races and Track Activities

Competitors will battle it out in two Sprint Races throughout the weekend. The Endurance Race, a 1.5-hour circuit competition, will also make a comeback to challenge both drivers and vehicles to see who can push their boundaries further.

Making its first appearance at Race Weekend 3 is the Tamaraw Sprint Race Exhibition, an electrifying contest of the Tamaraw one-make race cars (OMR), which was initially introduced as the Tamaraw Racing Concept during Race Weekend 2 at Villar City. Behind the wheel of the Tamaraws will be former Vios Cup Super Sporting Class champions Allan Uy (2016), Daniel Miranda (2017), Estefano Rivera (2021), and John Dizon (2023), along with previous Vios OMR Test Driver Tyson Sy.

The Next Generation Tamaraw will also be featured in an exhibition Drag Race to further assess its performance capabilities as a racing vehicle.

The Club Race, a 5-lap circuit competition for owners of the GR Yaris, GR Supra, and GR 86; as well as the Drifting Exhibition will also take to the tracks to amplify excitement and enjoyment for both spectators and drivers.

    Exciting Activities For Everyone

The enjoyment continues in the activity area, where giveaways and prizes will be available at the Sponsors’ Booths and Game Booths.

There will also be Sim Racing Rigs for those looking to challenge their skills on virtual tracks. As a preview of its forthcoming e-motorsports contest in August, the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines eSports GT Championship 2025, TMP will be hosting Qualifiers for interested sim racers. Participation is free.

Fans can also appreciate Car Displays featuring Toyota’s GR and GR-S lineups, alongside various Toyota Car Club vehicles. Original GR merchandise, including shirts, caps, and umbrellas, will be on sale.

Local pop and alternative rock band Over October will perform live to energize the audience with their chart-topping hits. This will be succeeded by the awarding ceremony to recognize and honor the winners of Race Weekend 3.

“It’s the concluding race weekend of the year, and we aim to finish strongly with new activities such as the Tamaraw Sprint Race and the return of the Endurance Race. We invite everyone who experienced the thrill of motorsports during Race Weekend 2 to join us for Race Weekend 3, where we have curated even more exciting activities,” stated TMP Assistant Vice-President for Marketing Services Andy Ty.

The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippine Cup is sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines and is presented by its Official Fuel & Lubricants Partner Petron and Official Tire Partner GT Radial.

This event also receives support from Official Timekeeper Seiko, Toyota Financial Services Philippines, Tuason Racing, AVT, 3M, Denso, OMP, ROTA, Autoplus, PIAA, Vinyl Frog Premier Vehicle Wraps, AutoQuix, Bebang Halo-Halo, myTOYOTA Wallet, and Kinto One.
