HP, a worldwide technology firm, unveiled a collection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions on Friday, pledging accessible and effective tools to assist a greater number of Filipino employees, particularly those in hybrid environments, in adapting effortlessly.
At the HP Day 2025 gathering, AI-driven personal computers (PCs) and laptops were featured prominently. These devices have been enhanced for superior efficiency and extended battery lifespan, incorporating edge AI functionalities via dedicated Neural Processing Units (NPUs), created in collaboration with prominent chipmakers Intel and AMD.
“The primary aim has been to effectively enhance [HP PC] performance, boost collaboration tools, and prolong battery duration,” Ida Evina Ong-Co, Managing Director of HP Philippines stated in an interview.
“It will be more relevant, more intuitive, and more concentrated on highlighting and augmenting the user experience,” she remarked.
Widely used applications such as Zoom, Adobe, and Windows programs will be further optimized, rendering them highly suitable for hybrid work scenarios, Ms. Co mentioned.
To enhance video conferencing quality, HP also introduces its Poly devices, which feature AI-driven capabilities like auto-framing and noise cancellation, rather than depending entirely on video conferencing applications for these improvements.
Eligible HP devices will soon be equipped with an integrated AI assistant known as HP AI Companion. This tool is intended to function seamlessly within the device, enabling users to directly access their computer’s library and avoid the hassle of toggling between distinct AI applications. – Edg Adrian A.
