LONGTIME BEATLES ENTHUSIASTS, Filipino rock legend The Itchyworms is eager to explore new sights between venues on its inaugural concert tour of the UK this month.
Renowned for the hits “Beer,” “Love Team,” and “Di Na Muli,” the group will take the stage in Manchester, Liverpool, and London for its #AkinKaNaLangUK tour.
“We’re massive Beatles enthusiasts, so I’m thrilled to visit Abbey Road with my bandmates, and naturally Liverpool, playing at the Cavern Club where the Beatles first showcased their talent,” the band’s lead vocalist and drummer Jazz Nicolas remarked in a press release announcing the tour. “England feels like our ultimate adventure.”
“I’ve been to London thrice already, but this is the first occasion I’ll be visiting with my bandmates. We’re going to geek out over everything Beatles,” said vocalist and guitarist Jugs Jugueta.
The UK marks the latest segment of an international tour that previously touched down in Japan, Singapore, the US, Canada, and Taiwan. The hurdles faced during the tour include operating with a minimal crew — a manager, sound engineer, and occasionally just one technician.
“Our advice to other bands: Begin in Japan or Singapore. They’re near the Philippines, economical, and offer excellent gig possibilities with vibrant Filipino communities,” stated Kelvin Yu, the band’s bassist.

The tour has witnessed some intriguing fan interactions, as noted in the release, including one in Osaka who attempted to kiss two band members, and an overly enthusiastic senior in Chicago “who attempted a surprise striptease mid-performance.”
The band is already hinting at adding more dates to the current tour, eyeing destinations like Australia, New Zealand, a return to Canada in 2026, and potentially more stops in Southeast Asia.
“For over two hours, we hope the music transports people back to the Philippines,” the band stated. “We want them to forget their worries and simply enjoy Filipino music with fellow Filipinos.”
The #AkinKaNaLangUK tour will feature shows on June 22 at the Night & Day Cafe in Manchester, on June 23 at the Cavern Club, where the Beatles first played in Liverpool; and on June 28 at Dingwalls Camden in London. Tickets are available at www.itchyworms.com.
