Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. is poised to unveil its newest mid-tier smartphones within the Galaxy A Series—the A56 5G and A36 5G—both of which boast enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) functionalities.
The fresh Galaxy A Series reveals its new signature, Awesome Intelligence, emphasizing sophisticated AI technologies aimed at boosting user efficiency.
The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is offered in three hues: Awesome Graphite, Awesome Light Gray (hero shade), and Awesome Pink. Conversely, the Galaxy A36 5G comes in Awesome Black, Awesome White (available exclusively for online customers), and Awesome Lavender.
The starting price for the Galaxy A56 5G is P23,990 for the 8GB+128GB variant (available exclusively for online shoppers) and P25,990 for the 8GB+256GB model. The Galaxy A36 5G’s pricing begins at P19,990 for the 8GB+128GB version (exclusive to online purchasers) and P21,990 for the 8GB+256GB edition.
Samsung’s latest devices will be accessible in physical stores and retailers from March 17, while online availability will start on March 24.
Both smartphones incorporate AI Select, which offers intelligent recommendations tailored to user requirements. This feature allows users to convert videos into GIFs, dial phone numbers, and extract and copy text easily.
The enhanced Circle to Search permits users to effortlessly search for images, text, and sounds within videos.
The Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G also present Best Face, a feature that lets users identify and edit their most flattering expressions captured through the Motion Photo setting, guided by AI suggestions.
The Create Filter function, powered by AI, enables users to create personalized filters based on existing photographs, while the Enhanced Object Eraser feature aids in removing undesirable background elements.
Each model boasts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display, featuring a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits.
Samsung Knox Vault secures sensitive user data, including biometrics, passcodes, and passwords.
The two devices are promised six major OS updates along with six years of security enhancements. Additionally, they hold an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Other characteristics comprise an on-screen fingerprint sensor, eSIM functionality, and stereo speakers.
The new iterations showcase a sleeker 7.4-millimeter profile compared to their predecessor and feature a linear camera arrangement with housing. The Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G are also lighter, tipping the scales at 198 grams (g) and 195 g, respectively.
In terms of hardware, the Galaxy A56 5G is driven by the Exynos 1580 (4 nm octa-core) chipset, while the Galaxy A36 5G operates on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4 nm octa-core) processor. A vapor chamber that is 15% larger ensures enhanced thermal management.
Both smartphones are outfitted with a 5,000mAh battery, which supports rapid charging of up to 45 watts, allowing users to achieve a full charge in 68 minutes.
The Galaxy A56 5G sports a 12-megapixel (MP) ultrawide camera, a 50MP optical image stabilization (OIS) primary camera that captures lifelike videos with 10-bit high dynamic range (HDR), and a 5MP macro lens.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A36 5G features an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP OIS primary camera with video HDR capabilities, and a 5MP macro lens.
