As reported by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), instances of text hijacking in the Philippines are alarmingly on the rise.
“Recently, there has been an uptick in the instances of text hijacking,” stated DICT Assistant Secretary for Legal Affairs Renato A. Paraiso in a conversation with BusinessWorld.
Mr. Paraiso cautioned the public that maintaining good cybersecurity practices and being vigilant with hyperlinks can assist individuals in steering clear of falling prey to these cyber offenses.
