It’s been a brief moment, and we have some updates.
👋 It’s occurring! 👋
After being restricted for the past few years, it’s thrilling to finally announce that Devcon 6 will occur in the initial half of Q4-2022 in Bogota, Colombia. We recognize that Devcon holds a unique place in everyone’s affections (including ours!), and we eagerly anticipate sharing additional details shortly (stay tuned!).
In the interim, the Road to Devcon progresses with another initiative we have been developing recently.
Discover a little something new
Devconnect is a week-long assembly in Amsterdam that will showcase independent Ethereum events, each with a distinct focus. The aim is to emphasize depth over scale, and to unite the Ethereum community in smaller groups for discussions, learning about, or making significant advancements on particular topics.
In contrast to a typical conference, we desire this week-long gathering to nurture the profound discussions and dialogues essential for further enhancing Ethereum. Each conversation during Devconnect will be led and curated by specialists in those areas. The EF will assist in coordination to ensure that experts and teams receive logistical and developmental support, and that there’s minimal redundancy of similar topics to prevent diverting builders in various directions.
Above all, we want Devconnect to be fruitful! This means that, for all meetings and workshops, we intend to gather audiences consisting of relevant experts or those deeply interested in the specific field.
For everyone visiting the area and wishing to collaborate and connect between sessions, we will provide a co-working environment for all who are interested.
What can we accomplish with a build-week?

With all of the new obstacles the world is facing and the opportunities Ethereum is seizing, this year the EF has chosen to experiment with something novel.
It’s been wonderful to observe that familiar significant events have started to resume — meanwhile we’ve begun to create Devconnect as something somewhat different. Concepts for Devcon have been elaborated on and refined since our time together in Osaka, and while significant events like Devcon remain the primary productive and remarkable foundation in our ecosystem, we hope that this new form of gathering can be supplementary, and impactful in innovative ways.
When can we discover more?
Stay connected to Devconnect.org, and to @EFDevconnect on Twitter for further details regarding exact dates and venues shortly, and to the EF blog.
And if you’re keen on organizing a Devconnect event, get in touch! We eagerly look forward to gathering in Amsterdam in April, and in Bogota later in 2022. See you all again soon.
