Abu Dhabi, December 9, 2024 – MicroBT, a premier Bitcoin ASIC producer globally, has once again demonstrated its technological capabilities and innovation-focused mindset by launching the new WhatsMiner M6XS++ series at the Bitcoin MENA 2024 Conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
At the conference, Dr. Zuoxing Yang, the Founder and CEO of MicroBT, presented a keynote titled “Lead Great and Green Mining Forward.” In his address, he revealed advancements in solar mining technology, emphasized the creative heat utilization in hydro-cooling mining systems, and introduced the fresh WhatsMiner models.
The mining sector is at a crucial crossroads, with eco-friendly mining rising as a leading trend for the future. Dr. Yang stressed the revolutionary promise of solar mining, forecasting a significant drop in electricity expenses for solar-powered mining to around 3.4 cents USD per kWh by 2025. Moreover, WhatsMiner’s pioneering high-temperature water outlet hydro-cooling technology is extending the limits of effective heat recovery. This innovation allows the WhatsMiner hydro-cooling system to either lessen mining cooling requirements or redirect heat for sophisticated uses, such as industrial steam generation, seawater desalination, and heating systems, thereby bolstering MicroBT’s leading role in the sustainable mining arena.
Following this, Dr. Yang introduced the next generation of WhatsMiner products. The air-cooled M60S++ achieves a hashrate of up to 226 TH/s with a power efficiency of 15.5 J/T. The hydro-cooled M63S++ provides a hashrate of up to 478 TH/s, while maintaining the same efficiency of 15.5 J/T. The immersion-cooled M66S++, on the other hand, delivers a hashrate of up to 356 TH/s, again with a power efficiency of 15.5 J/T.
In addition, the WhatsMiner lineup features the air-cooled M61S+ with a hashrate of up to 236 TH/s and a power efficiency of 17 J/T. The hydro-cooled M64S+ and M65S+ showcase hashrates of up to 236 TH/s and 440 TH/s respectively, both achieving a power efficiency of 17 J/T. Remarkably, the outlet water temperature for both the M64S+ and M65S+ can reach as high as 80°C.
