A remarkable initiative: Quadratic funding for SEA communities 👏
Southeast Asian Ethereum groups are coordinating a quadratic funding round in collaboration with clr.fund specifically tailored for the region! The Devcon team takes pride in backing this initiative by contributing 30,000 USD to the matching pool. This funding approach underscores the significance of community selection, empowering the preferences of community members to shape the allocation of resources.

The Journey to Devcon Southeast Asia 🌏
In April, we met diverse communities in Hanoi 🇻🇳, Bangkok 🇹🇭, Chiang Mai 🇹🇭, Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾, Phnom Penh 🇰🇭, Jakarta 🇮🇩, Manila 🇵🇭, and Singapore 🇸🇬. Each organized gatherings and united Ethereum community members in their distinctive styles.
We observed young learners intrigued by open-source technologies, community leaders collaborating to devise strategies for advancing Ethereum development, crowded meetups (despite the national holiday period!) during Songkran, and a surge of vibrant energy and enthusiasm celebrating the accomplishments of community members.
