The Commission on Audit (CoA) has finalized the repeated self-evaluation of its methodologies and practices against global benchmarks utilizing the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) Performance Measurement Framework (PMF) by submitting the SAI Performance Report to the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Development Initiative (IDI). As a result, the CoA achieved an Independent Review Statement from an impartial assessor designated by the IDI.

The INTOSAI SAI PMF and the Independent Review Statement are regarded by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring, Information and Reporting Systems as equivalent to the ISO 9001-aligned Quality Management System.

The SAI PMF offers a comprehensive and evidence-driven assessment of SAI’s performance in the domains of Independence and Legal Framework; Internal Governance and Ethics; Audit Quality and Reporting; Financial Management, Assets and Support Services; Human Resources and Training; as well as Communication and Stakeholder Management.

The CoA SAI PMF Team consisted of experienced CoA officials who are specialists in their respective disciplines, supported technically and administratively by its secretariat.

The IDI Independent Reviewer confirmed that the CoA assessment team leader and members possess the necessary qualifications and experience to deliver a high-quality evaluation, and that the aims of the review were successfully achieved in the conclusive report. The Independent Review Statement is available on the Transparency Seal of the CoA website.
