Lazada Philippines contributed almost 1000 bundles of infant diapers to the City of Cabuyao, Laguna last December as part of typhoon relief initiatives through the Lazada For Good program.
The diaper contribution, a selection from various Lazada sellers including Rascal + Friends, MamyPoko, EQ, Huggies, Pampers, MAKUKU Philippines, Genius, Uni-Love, among others, was delivered to Cabuyao City Mayor Dennis Hain following the local government’s appeal for assistance during consecutive typhoons in the region last October and November.
“Lazada Philippines, as both a business and an e-commerce platform, is devoted to actively aiding our communities through significant actions. With Lazada For Good, we aspire to forge new, accessible routes for any Filipino to contribute directly to those in need and offer support to the most vulnerable,” stated Carlos Barrera, CEO of Lazada Philippines.
The Lazada For Good initiative represents Lazada Philippines’ CSR program focused on uplifting and supporting various Filipino communities via partnerships with NGOs, contributions, and other on-the-ground and online activities.
Lazada For Good strives to enhance the scope of these initiatives, especially in the aftermath of natural calamities, through a designated channel on the Lazada app. By navigating to the Lazada For Good channel within the app, users can opt to buy donation vouchers that directly support chosen NGOs and relief organizations such as UNICEF, Caritas Manila, ABS-CBN Foundation, and GMA Kapuso Foundation.
