The Ethereum Initiative has been fortunate to unveil its PoC testnet and connect with the cryptocurrency community over the last two months. Throughout our journey, we’ve met with a great deal of enthusiastic support and insightful questions that have assisted us in honing our ideas and objectives, including the method we ultimately plan to employ for the sale of ether. That said, we have not yet confirmed the framework and format for the ether presale and thus we do not advise, advocate for, or endorse any attempts to sell, trade, or obtain ether.
We have recently learned that peercover.com has publicized a fundraising structure that is related in some manner to ether- they are not affiliated with the Ethereum initiative, nor do they represent it, and we believe they are doing a disservice to the Ethereum community by possibly misleading their own clients into a situation that they may not comprehend. Offering to sell ether that has not yet been created to mislead buyers can only be regarded as reckless at this juncture. Caution to buyers.
We urge that peercover.com stop promoting ether forwards until further details are released on the Ethereum initiative, the prospective value of the ether cryptofuel, and until legal experts in different nations clarify the securities and regulatory concerns that may arise from selling ether to the public across various countries.
