Progress on the Ethereum initiative has been remarkably positive over the months since its launch. The primary focus — advancement of the software platform — is proceeding as planned, and numerous developers globally are beginning to construct small, experimental distributed applications on the platform, despite the fact that we have yet to reach an alpha release.
The fifth installment of the proof of concept series will be unveiled shortly, although many community members frequently download the evolving source code, compile it, and utilize it for their various tasks.
Additional primary activities encompass consideration of legal frameworks in various regions concerning the pre-sale, development and testing of the hot/cold wallet infrastructure, and development and testing of the sales website. These efforts are progressing well toward completion. Documentation related to the sale is also approaching finalization, although there remain some unfinished elements in the critical path, making it challenging for us to establish a sales date just yet.
All of these efforts are integrated into a continuous foundation of support and communication activities. These have expanded extensively due to the worldwide recognition of the project. Our Twitter following exceeds 6000. The number of global meet-ups that concentrate on Ethereum either exclusively or largely currently amounts to 58 groups across 49 distinct cities in 19 countries. 13,300 individuals have subscribed to our newsletter, and various conversations on reddit/r/ethereum and forum.ethereum.org remain active.
This initiative is dynamic and swiftly evolving, and it has gained from several leadership reorganizations since its inception. It is expected that this adaptability will persist as each of us is committed to staying lean and agile while focusing on what is most beneficial for the project at any given moment.
Stephan Tual and Taylor Gerring have been integral to this initiative from the early stages. Though they have already made significant contributions, this involvement has now been formalized, and they are part of the leadership team.
The latest phase of business activities has involved a strong focus on the legal aspects of the sale, and Charles Hoskinson was perfectly suited to spearhead that initiative. However, this endeavor is now largely complete, and Charles will be transitioning to other activities within the field.
