Horizen (ZEN) v5.0.6 Update
The newest update for Horizen, Zend v5.0.6, is now accessible. All nodes need to upgrade prior to March 11, 2025, as the earlier version (v5.0.5) will be phased out at block #1730680.
Zend v5.0.6 will stay active until its planned phase-out at block #1783180, anticipated on June 11, 2025.
Main Changes:
- Extended phase-out height for v5.0.5.
- A new tool introduced for dumping address balances (accessible in Linux packages).
Aeternity (AE) v7.2.0 Update
Aeternity launched version 7.2.0, which brings improvements to security, performance, and network reliability.
Main Updates:
- Enhanced HC synchronization stability.
- Resolved rollback and direct access concerns.
- MacOS builds are now compatible with M1/arm64 architecture.
These enhancements foster a more effective and stable Aeternity blockchain environment.
Kaspa (KAS) Rusty-Kaspa v0.16.0 Update
The most recent stable release of Rusty-Kaspa (v0.16.0) initiates a significant database upgrade from v3 to v4. Node operators need to note that this is a unilateral upgrade, meaning reverting to a previous database version won’t be feasible.
Highlights of the Database Upgrade:
- Introduction of new data stores for temporary Ghostdag stores.
- Removed deprecated high-level Ghostdag data entries (now computed on-the-fly).
- MuHash calculations have been parallelized for improved performance.
- Support added for new transaction introspection opcodes and arithmetic improvements.
Kaspa (KAS) Block Reward Deduction
In alignment with the Kaspa Tokenomics and emission timeline, the block reward has been reduced:
- Former Block Reward: 69.29 KAS
- Updated Block Reward: 65.40 KAS

Flux (FLUX) v7.2.0 Update
The latest Flux release (v7.2.0) rolls out a range of optimizations designed to enhance network efficiency and lessen storage demands.
Main Adjustments:
- Inclusion of support for Flux OS Arcane image.
- Database compaction and undo state trimming.
- Roughly 9GB of data eliminated, decreasing the chain size from 44GB to 35GB.
- Capability for deprecation disabled (Flux Daemon will no longer deprecate).
- Corrections for displaying payment addresses for P2SH (multisig) Flux Nodes.
These enhancements improve the efficiency of Flux nodes and lower storage overhead, facilitating greater scalability of the network.
