We’re thrilled to share that the upcoming Devconnect is set to take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from November 17th to the 22nd, 2025!
This year, our goal extends beyond Devconnect: We aim to assist an initiative already underway within the local community — bringing Argentina onchain.
In Buenos Aires and throughout Argentina, we find a city and nation that have consistently been early adopters of Ethereum for many years. Devconnect Argentina presents a chance for the entire Ethereum ecosystem to bolster that consistent growth and propel it even further by aiding individual citizens, enterprises, institutions, and governments in their adoption and realization of Ethereum.

Devconnect will be the culmination of this initiative and a worldwide gathering that transcends a typical decentralized event week. Besides organized community events scattered throughout the city, the EF events team will create an interactive “Ethereum World’s Fair” — a genuine showcase of live dapps, illustrating what Ethereum can enable for a city, an economy, and a nation.

Why Devconnect Argentina stands out
Argentina is a location where Ethereum adoption is occurring right now. Individuals are utilizing stablecoins and blockchain solutions for everyday dealings and savings. Buenos Aires is currently experimenting onchain: the city’s administration has inaugurated projects such as a digital identity system with Quark ID, constructed on Ethereum and zksync, demonstrating its receptiveness to crypto.
The local ecosystem is robust, featuring Argentina-founded projects like Balmy, Belo, Bouldertech, Decentraland, DeFiWonderland, ExactlyProtocol, Kleros, LambdaClass, Lemon, MakerDAO(Sky), Mimic, Nomic Foundation, OpenZeppelin, POAP, and Ripio, among many others. Furthermore, it hosts grassroots initiatives such as Ethereum Argentina, Seed Latam, ETH Latam, Ciudad de Crecimiento, and others. Argentinians are also involved in numerous other teams across the ecosystem.
The Argentina Ethereum ecosystem has already established solid foundations, and Devconnect provides an opportunity for all of us within the Ethereum ecosystem to build upon those foundations. Ethereum adoption is occurring at scale right now in Argentina, and collectively we can assist Buenos Aires in becoming a model for other cities to emulate in the years to come.

The “Ethereum World’s Fair”
At the heart of Devconnect Argentina will be what we refer to as the “Ethereum World’s Fair”. Over the centuries, World’s Fairs around the world have presented groundbreaking technology and provided a glimpse into the future. The “Ethereum World’s Fair” will be a live demonstration of how Ethereum can revolutionize identity, finance, governance, and everyday life. Stablecoins, DeFi, onchain identities, public goods funding — all these will be available for exploration at the Ethereum Fair, allowing you to witness firsthand how Ethereum-powered tools can provide more accessible, transparent, and independent alternatives to traditional, centralized frameworks.
A more holistic Coworking experience
At the primary venue, attendees will find the Devconnect coworking area, designed for a more comprehensive experience, featuring Community Hubs. These interactive spaces are coordinated by community members, and you might recognize them from Devcon. We will disclose more information about the Devconnect Community Hubs and how to organize one in a few weeks.
Devconnect events remain decentralized
Naturally, Devconnect Argentina remains true to its roots – this signifies multiple events coordinated by various teams throughout Buenos Aires, each delving into distinct Ethereum themes.
One of our key objectives is to promote the actual utilization of Ethereum. We encourage event organizers to incorporate onchain ticketing, payments, and identity wherever feasible. We are also continuously seeking opportunities to leverage Ethereum technology to enhance the attendee experience at Devconnect.
