We are now less than 60 days away from Devcon, and we wished to share significant updates and additional information regarding how to acquire remaining Devcon tickets for all those wishing to join us in Osaka.
To begin with, mark your calendars: Wave 3 of Devcon ticket sales will occur on Thursday, the 15th of August at 6:00am PT / 9:00am ET / 3:00pm CEST / 10:00pm JST at Devcon.org!
After this wave concludes, there will be several additional methods available for obtaining passes.
Regarding ticket demand, it is crucial to highlight (as previously mentioned) that over two-thirds of Devcon tickets are either subsidized or complimentary, aimed at builders, students, and other groups. The remaining tickets are distributed through a series of publicly accessible “waves”, which have been quickly claimed.
That being said, we also think that there is more we can do to offer the general audience a chance to participate, so after Wave 3, there will be several additional avenues to secure your ticket to Devcon, some of which are experimental and utilize the Ethereum network.
In particular, we will create chances to purchase Devcon tickets outside of a wave by allocating remaining tickets in three different manners: Through an on-chain raffle, an on-chain auction to support an expanded scholarship program, and a final appeals round. More details on each of these ticketing methods will be provided after Wave 3 sales.
