Years from now, there will be numerous tales to recount about the initial era of Ethereum. We will reflect on how an unusual and impactful technology began to transform the foundation of trust on the internet. Some will recall feeling doubtful, while others might assert they always believed it would revolutionize the world. Those forthcoming narratives remain beyond our grasp – shrouded as everything is by the obstacles and ambiguities of the current time.
However, there are different narratives present at this moment that we must heed. Chronicles of individuals; of their learning, development, aspirations, and experiences. The Next Billion Fellowship at the Ethereum Foundation is a quest for unique voices willing to share their stories regarding today, as well as endeavors aimed at tomorrow.
Commencing today, until January 15th, 2024, applications are now available for cohort 4 of the Next Billion Fellowship. For a duration of six months, NxBn Fellows will investigate and focus on a venture that symbolizes a personal expedition toward a more promising future, with support from peers and mentors across the Ethereum diverse ecosystem.
There are no rigid requirements for a NxBn fellowship undertaking or story. Previous cohorts’ projects have comprised research initiatives, creating proofs-of-concept, and ‘stretch collaboration’ efforts beyond the web3 domain. The NxBn Fellowship is merely a small segment of a broader story; incoming fellows typically will have already embarked on their journey and will continue to develop their project long after the program is complete. The sole criterion is that Fellows should authentically convey their project’s context publicly and freely share their insights (or code) with the community. We appreciate your interest and eagerly anticipate hearing your narratives.
