We are thrilled to declare the revival of the Devcon Scholars Program for Devcon Southeast Asia! Uniting creators from various regions and fields, the Devcon Scholars Program provides more than a mere scholarship for attending Devcon – it aspires to cultivate a community centered on collaborative learning and co-creation, bridging Ethereum with diverse perspectives and expanding Ethereum’s horizons. This year, we aim to embrace up to 100 Scholars divided into four categories: (1) Ethereum Community Organizers, (2) Law Students & Legal Professionals, (3) Artists & Sci-fi Writers, and (4) Other Builders.
Applications are currently open, until Sunday, July 7th, 2024 at 11:59pm PST.
What To Anticipate As a Scholar
The Scholars Program will commence in August and finish after Devcon in late November.
Here is what selected Scholars can look forward to:
- Financial assistance: Based on individual circumstances, Scholars are given financial aid for accommodation, flights, visa applications, daily expenses, and/or Devcon tickets. Please note: the level of financial need will not influence the selection process. Individuals who do not need financial assistance are still eligible.
- Pre-Devcon Community & Activities: Apart from financial assistance, the Devcon Scholars Program focuses on establishing enduring connections, mentorship, and an environment for enhancing existing skills and knowledge. There will be online gatherings where Scholars can connect, learn collaboratively, and prepare for their Devcon experience.
- Devcon: Enjoying an incredible Devcon week in Bangkok, Thailand.
- Post-Devcon: Following Devcon, each Scholar will present a Learning Artifact – a free-format creation that reflects their learning and experiences in their chosen medium.
