What is the Next Billion Fellowship Program?
The Next Billion Fellowship Program is a quest for narratives – concrete, human narratives that illustrate how Ethereum is assisting communities in tackling the difficulties they encounter.
Whether it’s launching digital badges and wallets for millions of scouts globally, developing more effective and economical crop insurance for smallholder farmers in Kenya, or investigating the role of decentralized systems during humanitarian emergencies in Syria, each Fellow’s narrative allows us to perceive Ethereum’s influence in human society, not merely as an abstract technology, but as an instrument for addressing real issues and fostering significant change.
Throughout the six-month program, we offer project funding, guidance, access to our network, and chances for publicity.
Submissions Are Open!
If you’re prepared to be part of our upcoming cohort (Cohort #5), kindly apply by January 12, 2025.
Submissions received following this date will be taken into account for the next cohort (Cohort #6). Discover more about the program and our alumni here.

November 2024 – January 12, 2025: Submissions are open; late applications after January 12 will be evaluated for Cohort 6, with interviews happening continuously.

January 2025 – April 2025: Assessment of applications for Cohort 5 and continual assessment for Cohort 6.

April 2025 – October 2025: Fellowship Program Cohort 5 and ongoing assessment for Cohort 6.

September 2025 – March 2026: Fellowship Program Cohort 6.
