Genesis is approximately 4 hours away, here are several final tips for those getting ready:
All clients are operational on every platform and are built to completion: http://ethereum-buildboard.meteor.com/
Be aware that it will take some time (10-1000 blocks) for the network to stabilize. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Therefore, we will not disclose the Genesis block hash until a robust consensus has been reached. We will not reveal the –extradata immediately either – if we did, we may as well launch centrally. We’ll allow the community to arrive at a consensus regarding what it is (as there could be multiple blocks #1028201 on the testnet, while it experiences a re-organization, or numerous re-organizations).
Avoid reusing keys from Olympic, particularly if you anticipate Olympic rewards, as these should be regarded as entirely insecure due to the developmental status of the various codebases that created them. They may also be at risk of replay attacks. If you expect an Olympic reward for key A, please generate a new key B using pyethereum, cpp-ethereum-0.9.36+ or go-ethereum-1.0 and execute a transaction sent by A to B on the testnet; rewards will be granted to the first such transaction that occurs after block #1026900. Don’t utilize B on Olympic. If you have ‘won’ something, it will be sent to B on Frontier.
The difficulty will commence at 2^34, a figure that was determined based on our observations on the testnet
