Comrades,
The year is progressing, cherry blossoms have dropped, and Devcon is rapidly approaching!
As mentioned during the presentation at Ethereal last month, Devcon is returning to Asia in 2019. We hope you will unite with us from October 8th to 11th in Osaka, Japan!
Without further ado, we are thrilled to announce fresh information regarding this year’s event.
TICKETS
The first wave* of Devcon tickets will be available for purchase online in mid-July, with a notice of the exact date and time shared at least 7 days in advance.
Kindly be aware that requests for speakers, scholarships, as well as builder and student discounts will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. We will examine as many as we can before the initial ticket release, but if you haven’t received confirmation by the time ticket sales commence, we suggest purchasing a ticket to ensure your attendance. In case you are subsequently approved for a complimentary or reduced ticket, the difference will be reimbursed to you.
APPLICATIONS
For those interested in presenting: applications for speeches, workshops, and breakout sessions are currently open for individuals wishing to present across various stages.
Applications for builder and student discounts, scholarships, sponsorship, and press are all active at https://devcon.org! Additional funding opportunities are available to support the scholarship program – reach out to sponsorships@ethereum.org for further details.
LOCATION
We are also delighted to declare that our Devcon venue will be the ATC Hall in Osaka — a stunning and contemporary venue featuring both indoor and outdoor areas, a direct train connection for easy downtown access, a view of the docks (for those with nautical interests), and on-site dining and shopping!
Devcon is the exclusive event managed by the Ethereum Foundation, and our team is incredibly proud to gather an amazing and continually expanding global community every year. We aspire for this year’s Devcon to be the best one yet.
While more information will be shared soon, please save the dates mentioned above, and of course for October 8-11, 2019!
Looking forward to seeing you in Osaka!
— devcon team

*What constitutes a wave? To guarantee a fair distribution of tickets, we will be releasing sets of General Admission tickets at different intervals — which we refer to as waves.
