We are eagerly anticipating our journey to Devcon 7 in Southeast Asia and are pleased to observe that the Ethereum communities in SEA have become more vibrant since our announcement of Devcon 7. It’s fantastic to witness participation from communities in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam.
Today, we are unveiling the Road to Devcon (RTD) Grants round to facilitate the emergence of new Ethereum events, grassroots movements, and educational endeavors throughout this diverse region.
If you are situated in Southeast Asia and are passionate about nurturing communities, developing educational programs, and empowering your region with the possibilities that Ethereum presents, we invite you to apply for assistance on the Road to Devcon. The maximum grant available is $1,000, and we encourage proposals for smaller gatherings rather than large-scale events.
The Communities Construct the Road 🏗
The Road to Devcon signifies more than just a figurative journey; it represents a collection of connections and milestones that unite individuals and link Ethereum with specific communities globally. During the previous RTD, the route to Bogotá was established through the inspiring contributions of a Latin American community that collaborated to arrange diverse events throughout the area. These initiatives culminated in ETH Latam, a one-day conference conducted in the local language, and the Chiva Bus, a vibrant stage at Devcon VI.
Along this path, we identified new leaders and guiding figures for the community—each playing a role in the growth and fortitude of the Ethereum ecosystem. It is these very individuals who enrich the Ethereum community with their passion and cultures.
We are convinced that the Road to Devcon Grants program can enhance accessibility and create opportunities for individuals to learn, engage, and contribute to the Ethereum ecosystem. Through the RTD Grants, we strive to cultivate the conditions that enable the Ethereum community to flourish and expand throughout the SEA area.
