The audit was thorough and involved an in-depth examination of potential DoS attacks, resource misuse, unintended forks\/chains, and threats to funds.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"chakra-text css-gi02ar\">The audit is now finalized and <!-- --><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"chakra-link css-ug8vf0\" href=\"https:\/\/leastauthority.com\/blog\/ethereum-2-0-specifications\/\">accessible for public examination<!-- --><\/a> \ud83c\udf89.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"chakra-text css-gi02ar\">The Least Authority audit guided us in addressing a few DoS vectors in gossip messages through additional validation conditions (<!-- --><em class=\"chakra-text css-0\">Issues A &amp; B<!-- --><\/em>), emphasized a known issue concerning the public block proposer leader election (<!-- --><em class=\"chakra-text css-0\">Issues C &amp; D<!-- --><\/em>), and encouraged further exploration into potential DoS attacks utilizing libp2p gossipsub control messages (<!-- --><em class=\"chakra-text css-0\">Issue G<!-- --><\/em>).<!-- --><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"chakra-text css-gi02ar\">In addition to these specific concerns, the audit offered recommendations for refining the p2p spec, exploring techniques to enhance gossip, and obtaining peer reviews for the core consensus papers\/proofs.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"chakra-text css-gi02ar\">A big shoutout to Least Authority.
