With 16 organizations and nearly as many individuals committing matching funds as of <!-- --><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"chakra-link css-ug8vf0\" href=\"https:\/\/gitcoin.co\/blog\/gitcoin-grants-round-8\/\">Round 8<!-- --><\/a>, it has evolved into a genuinely community-driven support network for many open source contributors in the ecosystem. The platform itself has also advanced, with recent user interface enhancements such as:<!-- --><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\" class=\"css-1onhfjo\">\n<li class=\"css-cvpopp\">A &#8220;shopping cart&#8221; feature that enables users to contribute to several grants simultaneously and share their cart with others<!-- --><\/li>\n<li class=\"css-cvpopp\">Integration of <!-- --><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"chakra-link css-ug8vf0\" href=\"https:\/\/zksync.io\/\">zksync<!-- --><\/a> for scalability, allowing multiple donations to be consolidated into a single transaction<!-- --><\/li>\n<li class=\"css-cvpopp\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"chakra-link css-ug8vf0\" href=\"https:\/\/gitcoin.co\/grants\/collections?\">Collections<!-- --><\/a> to help users keep track of their preferred grants or explore others&#8217; favorites<!-- --><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"chakra-heading css-145upk7\" id=\"eip-1559-rd\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"chakra-link css-ug8vf0\" href=\"https:\/\/eips.ethereum.org\/EIPS\/eip-1559\">EIP 1559<!-- --><\/a> R&amp;D<!-- --><\/h3>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"chakra-text css-gi02ar\">EIP 1559, which suggests modifications to Ethereum&#8217;s fee structure, has been a focal point for community-wide dialogue and development since 2019.
