The shift to Altair went smoothly, paving the way for the forthcoming series of tests and enhancements.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"chakra-text css-gi02ar\">This week, Pyrmont is being rigorously examined as we execute a variety of <!-- --><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"chakra-link css-ug8vf0\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/eth-clients\/eth2-networks\/issues\/59\">testing scenarios<!-- --><\/a> on the <!-- --><em class=\"chakra-text css-0\">soon-to-be-retired<!-- --><\/em> testnet. Don\u2019t worry! At the moment of this writing, Pyrmont has already reached 482 epochs without finality, with a significant fraction of validators taken offline for several days. These evaluations assist in identifying edge cases in the consensus code while also showcasing client problems in managing load during unusual situations.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"chakra-text css-gi02ar\">\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"chakra-heading css-1w54o5f\" id=\"prater-up-next\">Prater on the horizon<!-- --><\/h2>\n<p><!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"chakra-text css-gi02ar\">With Pyrmont now updated, Prater &#8212; a bigger and more extended testnet &#8212; is next in line. Client teams have confirmed a September 2nd (12pm UTC) upgrade date.
