We have launched numerous significant features and content, with thousands of remarkable contributors aiding us throughout the journey.<\/p>\n

Translation program \ud83c\udf0e<\/h2>\n
<\/p>\n
Disseminating educational Ethereum content in as many languages as possible is essential to our team’s vision for ethereum.org<\/a>. Our amazing community of contributors has made tremendous progress since we became a multilingual website<\/a> in 2019, and in 2022 we were excited to observe continuous growth in the number of individuals participating in our translation program as well as a surge in readers using non-English languages.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n There was much to appreciate in 2022, but we still have significant ground to cover in delivering Ethereum education to the non-English speaking world. If you are fluent in a language other than English, please check out the translation program and assist in making ethereum.org more reachable to all!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Join the translation program<\/a><\/p>\n Ethereum.org is the product of thousands of remarkable contributors, and every contribution aids us in building a valuable resource for the community. Similar to the translation program, ethereum.org witnessed extraordinary participation in a plethora of other community-driven initiatives. In 2022 we achieved 37,000 Discord members, an astounding 7,000 Crowdin members, and reached the significant milestone of 1,000 total contributors on GitHub<\/a>!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Specifically, through our rollout of Typescript<\/a> and the UI library migration<\/a>, we had over 50 code contributors \ud83e\udd2f!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n For content, we also had numerous contributors assist us in drafting new pages for ethereum.org. These included pages on blockchain bridges<\/a>, DeSci<\/a>, decentralized identity<\/a>, and many others!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n We cannot stress enough how grateful we are for every contributor \u2764\ufe0f. It required extensive effort to reach the current design state, and we are eager to unveil it. In Q1 2023, we will commence coding to support this new design system.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n One of the key motivations behind developing a design system is to provide designers a method to contribute to the open-source Ethereum community. A substantial amount of traffic to ethereum.org originates from users aiming to acquire their first wallet. Previously, our wallet search page required considerable effort to compare the various features offered by wallets, making it challenging for users to determine which wallet aligned best with their requirements.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n After multiple design revisions, we decided to create a shopping-like interface\u2014enabling users to filter wallets by particular features, compare functionalities amongst wallets, and select user personas along with suggested features.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Explore our wallet search page<\/a>. We appreciate feedback; share your opinions on our Discord<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A steady influx of new users aims to understand Ethereum. In 2022, we dedicated considerable time to improving the experience for these users. Developing straightforward content is a fundamental principle of our work, but these two initiatives were particularly concentrated on this segment of our audience.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n We established the Learning Hub<\/a> to assist users in finding a launchpad for learning about Ethereum without being daunted by the volume of information available and the fragmentation of the various pages on our site. The Learning Hub provides a guided journey for users, commencing with the fundamentals of cryptocurrencies, guiding them through initiating on Ethereum with their first wallet, instructing them on the workings of the Ethereum protocol, and how they can engage in the ecosystem.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Alongside offering a structured learning path with the Learning Hub, we aimed to make the process of learning about Ethereum more enjoyable for users, enhance retention, and gamify the experience. To achieve this, we developed learning quizzes. Each quiz comprises several questions, encompassing multiple possible answers along with explanations provided after response submission to aid users in understanding when they answer incorrectly.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Currently, we have learning quizzes on eight pages and aim to broaden this with additional functionality and pages in 2023. They’re incredibly enjoyable! Take a look:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Undoubtedly, the most significant Ethereum event of 2022 was The Merge<\/a>. In preparing for The Merge, we thoroughly reviewed the entire website for content that would need alteration following Ethereum’s transition to proof-of-stake.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Along with auditing and revising hundreds of existing pages, we generated numerous new pages to reflect the modifications made such as: proof-of-stake frequently asked questions<\/a>, proof-of-stake versus proof-of-work<\/a>, how blocks are created on proof-of-stake<\/a>, and many others.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n For comprehensive details, refer to the three major initiatives we undertook related to The Merge:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Besides our core asset on ethereum.org, we devoted substantial time to assisting other initiatives crucial to the success of Ethereum. We won’t elaborate on each one, but they are worth exploring!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n With so much accomplished, the ethereum.org<\/a> community has significant achievements to commemorate in 2022.
