Both ministries have kicked off the process of registering official documents on the Bitcoin blockchain, and now, you can access these verified records through dedicated government portals.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cBitcoin is more than just digital cash \u2014 it acts like a universal clock that nobody can control. This means we can accurately certify when a document was made, ensuring its authenticity and protecting our country\u2019s history forever\u2026 We\u2019re making sure that the history of our country is preserved and can be verified directly on Bitcoin without needing middlemen,\u201d expressed Carlos Toriello, CEO of Simple Proof, in a press release shared with Bitcoin Magazine.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"box-sizing:border-box;margin:0px;padding:0px;\">The company previously ran successful pilot programs, including one in <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/how-a-georgia-county-put-its-election-results-on-bitcoin\" target=\"_blank\">Screven County, Georgia<\/a>, USA, and another in Guatemala, where they made a significant impact on the 2023 elections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This initiative builds on Simple Proof\u2019s earlier achievements in El Salvador, where they helped launch the CUBO+ program graduation certificates \u2014 the very first public documents in the country to be registered via the Bitcoin blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>You can check out the Ministry of Environment\u2019s timestamped documents, like national reports and public files, at <a href=\"http:\/\/blockchain.ambiente.gob.sv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blockchain.ambiente.gob.sv<\/a>.
