Notable VPN options include <a href=\"https:\/\/mullvad.net\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mullvad VPN<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/obscura.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Obscura VPN<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/protonvpn.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proton VPN<\/a>. \u201cDownloads of Proton VPN surged by 1,800% on the day the [Online Safety] Act came into effect,\u201d clarified New.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Employ a fully-encrypted email service<\/strong>: Email providers like Proton Mail, Mailfence, and Hushmail encrypt your messages so that only you and the email recipient can view the content. \u201cConsider switching to Proton Mail instead of Gmail,\u201d suggested New during the interview.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Establish a Nostr key pair<\/strong>: New advised setting up a Nostr key pair (it\u2019s simpler than it sounds) using Nostr clients like <a href=\"https:\/\/primal.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Primal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/iris.to\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iris<\/a>, as you don\u2019t need to provide any identifiable information to start using Nostr through these clients, which function as social media platforms and connect you to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/takes\/nostr-is-the-worlds-biggest-bitcoin-circular-economy-join-us\">largest bitcoin circular economy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Understand how progressive web apps (PWA) operate<\/strong>: A PWA is an application that you can access via a web browser as opposed to through Apple\u2019s App Store or Google Play Store.
