\u201cClarity is merely a launch point, not a conclusion,\u201d Leo Fan, co-founder of Cysic, informed Cointelegraph. He emphasized the necessity for scalable blockchains<\/a>, immediate verification mechanisms, and reliable custody for enhanced integration.<\/p>\n

Fan acknowledged that Crypto Week provided \u201clegal clarity,\u201d with the GENIUS Act officially recognizing that not all crypto assets qualify as securities. He described this as a \u201cfoundational shift\u201d that offers a \u201cgreen light for developers, investors, and institutions to innovate and implement with clearer legal frameworks.\u201d<\/p>\n

GENIUS approval signifies DeFi is \u2018here to remain\u2019<\/h2>\n

Altan Tutar, co-founder and CEO of MoreMarkets, characterized the GENIUS Act as \u201cthe most promising indication yet that DeFi is here to remain,\u201d noting that the US is narrowing the gap with Asia in crypto adoption<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tutar expressed that the legislation would promote stablecoin adoption \u201cin a significant manner,\u201d allowing traditional assets like gold or oil to be tokenized and bringing DeFi into new realms.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, he warned that regulatory clarity favors institutions more than everyday investors and emphasized the necessity of creating payment systems, applications, and earning avenues for retail investors to avert crypto\u2019s version of a \u201cdot-com bubble.\u201d<\/p>\n

Similarly, Ryan Chow, CEO of Solv Protocol, stated that Crypto Week \u201cestablished the legal groundwork for digital assets for legal clarity and structural legitimacy,\u201d concluding years of regulatory ambiguity that impeded institutional adoption.<\/p>\n

He referred to the GENIUS Act\u2019s differentiation between decentralized digital assets and conventional securities as \u201cmonumental,\u201d instilling confidence in builders and investors to innovate.<\/p>\n

Regulation alone isn\u2019t sufficient<\/h2>\n

Will K, CEO of VOOI and co-founder of Symbiosis.Finance, also underscored that regulation alone isn\u2019t adequate. He highlighted the necessity for developed infrastructure, streamlined user experiences, and AI-driven tools that equalize the playing field.<\/p>\n

Without these advancements, crypto risks remaining a niche ecosystem rather than evolving into a global financial standard, Will cautioned. \u201cThe industry must cease developing solely for crypto enthusiasts and begin creating for everyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n
