Project Liadlaw, an initiative focused on solar energy and education from Vivant Foundation, the CSR division of Vivant Corporation, received the highest accolade in the Education segment of the 2025 CSR Guild Awards for its dedication to enhancing educational opportunities in isolated Indigenous Peoples (IP) and mountainous regions lacking electricity.<\/p>\n

Hosted by the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF), the CSR Guild Awards celebrates initiatives that showcase enduring, sustainable influence in communities.<\/p>\n

Project Liadlaw is a component of Vivant Foundation\u2019s wider pledge to enhance access to STEM education in public institutions. Introduced in 2018, Project Liadlaw tackles the educational disparity in off-grid areas by offering solar power installations to public high schools, starting with institutions in Bantayan Island, Cebu. These setups empower students and educators to utilize lighting, crucial devices, and digital resources, thereby enhancing classroom environments and educational results.<\/p>\n

In partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Vivant\u2019s initiative also aids in curriculum enhancement by incorporating solar technology into the Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) senior high school program. This opportunity provides students with practical experience in renewable energy systems, furnishing them with skills that promote both personal development and community advancement. In recent years, Vivant Foundation has also supplied science lab equipment, teacher development courses, and assistance for students pursuing science and technology fields.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis acknowledgment inspires us to remain committed,\u201d stated Shem Garcia, Executive Director of Vivant Foundation. \u201cWe regard Project Liadlaw as more than just a solar power initiative; it’s a means to empower learners and communities in remote areas with the resources and assurance necessary for ongoing education and progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

With aid from the European Union, the initiative broadened through Project RELY (Renewable Energy for Livelihood and Youth) to extend its reach to more schools in Cebu, Bohol, and Palawan. Most recently, Project Liadlaw provided electricity to the Gamot Integrated School in Quezon, Bukidnon, marking its second IP school and its initial implementation within a distant mountain community.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

As the CSR division of the conglomerate Vivant Corporation, Vivant Foundation consistently emphasizes pragmatic, sustainable methods that address the requirements of communities, specifically those situated in often neglected locations.<\/p>\n
