In a daring new initiative that merges education and Bitcoin<\/a> advancement, Lomond School<\/a> has revealed the introduction of the Satoshi Scholarships<\/a>, a pioneering Bitcoin-based scholarship program<\/a>, as stated in a press release distributed to Bitcoin Magazine. This announcement coincides with a strategic collaboration with esteemed economist Dr. Saifedean Ammous to establish an Austrian economics curriculum for students.<\/p>\n

This independent co-educational day and boarding institution, already recognized as the first globally to accept Bitcoin for tuition<\/a>, is now offering 21 two-year boarding scholarships and 21 two-year day scholarships\u2014fully covering the school\u2019s prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Each scholarship aims to empower students passionate about economics, innovation, and critical analysis, irrespective of their backgrounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe feedback from the Bitcoin community since we announced our acceptance of Bitcoin for fees has been remarkable,\u201d stated Claire Chisholm<\/a>, Principal of Lomond School, during an appearance on Jordan Walker\u2019s Bitcoin Collective Podcast<\/em><\/a>. \u201cLaunching the scholarship initiative felt like a logical progression. In addition to scholarships, the school is also initiating a new economics<\/a> curriculum in partnership with Dr. Ammous, known for his book The Bitcoin Standard<\/em>. This initiative will focus on Austrian economics, sound money, and the principles of financial freedom.<\/p>\n
