administration\u2019s goal to accumulate Bitcoin energetically while avoiding any financial burden on taxpayers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have clearly stated that we aspire to acquire as much as we can,\u201d Hines conveyed to Pompliano. \u201cI\u2019ve reiterated that consistently during my speaking engagements over the last few months\u2026 it clarifies that we need to obtain bitcoin in budget-neutral ways that don\u2019t cost the taxpayer a single penny.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among the standout propositions is the use of tariff revenue to finance Bitcoin acquisitions, which is intriguing given the ongoing global trade conflict concerning tariffs and a recent White House economic forecast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/fact-sheets\/2025\/04\/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-declares-national-emergency-to-increase-our-competitive-edge-protect-our-sovereignty-and-strengthen-our-national-and-economic-security\/#:~:text=A%202024%20economic%20analysis%20found,real%20household%20incomes%20by%205.7%25.\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/fact-sheets\/2025\/04\/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-declares-national-emergency-to-increase-our-competitive-edge-protect-our-sovereignty-and-strengthen-our-national-and-economic-security\/#:~:text=A%202024%20economic%20analysis%20found,real%20household%20incomes%20by%205.7%25.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indicating<\/a> that \u201ca global tariff of 10% could expand the economy by $728 billion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe that, as the President often remarks, \u2018we have many high IQ individuals\u2019 working on these solutions,\u201d Hines further explained. \u201cWe\u2019ll collaborate and develop some of these concepts and ultimately arrive at the optimal solution.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>Hines also commented on Senator Cynthia Lummis\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/us-senator-and-congressman-introduce-strategic-bitcoin-reserve-bills-to-buy-one-million-btc\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/us-senator-and-congressman-introduce-strategic-bitcoin-reserve-bills-to-buy-one-million-btc\">proposed<\/a> BITCOIN Act of 2025, which aims for the U.S. to acquire 200,000 BTC annually over five years, hatching a million-bitcoin reserve.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Senator Lummis has put forth a really fascinating concept with the BITCOIN Act,\u201d Hines remarked. \u201cWhat you would do is \u2014 reevaluate the gold certificates we currently possess at Treasury\u2026 Most of which I believe are valued at around $43 an ounce\u2026 whereas gold is currently at approximately $3,100 an ounce\u2026 and with that valuation, you could utilize that additional funding to purchase more bitcoin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Hines stressed, \u201cThere are literally countless methods to achieve this\u2026 everything is up for consideration, and as we\u2019ve mentioned, we want to acquire as much as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Post-interview, Pompliano
