Node Updates

MimbleWimbleCoin (MWC) v5.3.10

  • Transaction fee thresholds: mechanisms to avert unexpectedly elevated fees.
  • New “offline” mode: operate in a configuration more appropriate for cold wallet environments (prepare and authenticate transactions without internet access).

We suggest upgrading if you utilize cold storage or frequently prepare transactions for offline verification.

Ergo (ERG) 6.0.1

  • Versioned block transaction serializer since 6.0: guarantees the appropriate serializer version is utilized moving forward.
  • Candidate regeneration enhancements: improvements to stability while preparing block candidates.
  • Indexed node API extensions: endpoint to retrieve blocks with complete transactions.
  • UTXO inquiries refined: option to exclude outputs spent from the mempool across all “unspent” endpoints.
  • Pending TX detail: endpoint now delivers complete inputs with proofs for awaiting transactions.

This maintenance update emphasizes accuracy, completeness of API, and more fluid handling of block candidates.

Zcash (ZEC) v6.3.0

Network Upgrade 6.1 (NU6.1) preparations are incorporated in this distribution.

  • ZIP 271: Deferred Developer Fund Lockbox Allocation.
  • ZIP 1016 (partial): Community and Coinholder Financing Structure.
  • Activation (testnet): NU6.1 triggers at height 3,536,500.
  • Regtest control: can be activated at a designated height using -nuparams=4dec4df0:HEIGHT.
  • Testing note: during the testing stage, consensus regulations may alter; if so, testnet will revert in v6.10.0 and be activated again (see ZIP 255 for deployment methodology).

Bug fix: rectified accounting for unshielding transactions that utilize Orchard notes in transparent balance-related RPCs (e.g., getbalance, gettransaction), aligning functionality with previous fixes for Sprout/Sapling.

Default updated: -preferredtxversion now defaults to 5 (NU5 format). Use -preferredtxversion=4 to preserve the earlier behavior.

Block Reward Reductions

Karlsen (KLS)

In accordance with the Karlsencoin tokenomics and emission schedule, the block reward has diminished:

  • Previous: 29.71 KLS
  • New: 28.89 KLS

Take note! 2CryptoCalc has been adjusted accordingly.

Kaspa (KAS)

As part of the Kaspa emission schedule and Crescendo hard fork progression, another scheduled reduction took place:

  • Previous: 4.90 KAS
  • New: 4.62 KAS

Take note! 2CryptoCalc reflects the updated reward.
