Impacted configurations: cpp-ethereum (eth, AlethZero, …) version 1.2.0 through 1.2.6
Note: Neither “geth” nor “Mist” nor the “Ethereum Wallet” (unless specifically utilized alongside cpp-ethereum) are impacted by this, they do indeed secure accounts appropriately again.
This is simply a brief reminder that cpp-ethereum’s security concern related to account protection has not yet been thoroughly resolved. The remedy included in cpp-ethereum version 1.2.6 did not lower the security, but it also failed to completely rectify the error. We will strive for an additional bugfix release and will inform you once the solution is adequately confirmed.
