The Taipei Ethereum Meetup recently organized Crosslink Taiwan 2019. It was an excellent gathering and an ideal occasion for the Ethereum Foundation’s Ecosystem Support Program (ESP) to distribute a Taiwan-specific series of grants! The award recipients are as follows.
🍍 Group 1: Ethereum-Based Technical Initiatives: USD$5,000 allocated to each initiative
- Eauth (License: MIT): An OAuth-compatible service leveraging Ethereum credentials for authenticating users on a platform.
- Ethereum Wallet SDK (License: LGPL-3.0): An SDK that allows Dapps to interface with various wallets.
- SOLL (License: Apache-2.0): A new compiler tasked with producing Ewasm code from Solidity code.

- Ironman-Blockchain: Fresh Web3.js and Solidity tutorials for a duration of 30 continuous days!
- Open instructional materials: Releasing the materials for an Ethereum DApp Development course at National Chengchi University (NCCU).
🍍 Free Devcon Ticket Grant
This recognition was created to honor long-standing contributions by local community participants. Juin Chiu and Kimi Wu have interpreted and converted numerous complex research concepts from English to Mandarin, significantly aiding in overcoming language obstacles and expediting the dissemination of Ethereum knowledge. We were thrilled to welcome Juin and Kimi at Devcon in Osaka and to reunite with both of them in Taipei shortly after.
What Lies Ahead?
One of Ethereum’s remarkable attributes is the autonomous growth that transpires across its expansive and dynamic ecosystem. Numerous local Ethereum communities worldwide play a significant role in making Ethereum feel both universal and personal for many individuals.
In light of this, the EF is persistently exploring strategies to aid communities globally. We are eager to apply the knowledge gleaned from our recent Korea, Japan, and now Taiwan-specific grant initiatives to expand this idea even further.
We extend our gratitude to all the community members who contribute to making blockchain knowledge more reachable, thus promoting innovation, Ethereum adoption, and disseminating Ethereum’s ethos worldwide!
Thanks to the Ethereum Foundation Special Projects team for the regional emblem!
